What To Expect
Calabaza Sailing Cruises
Your 5-hours tour departs from the port at 9am so be sure to arrive 15 minutes before departure to board the boat, or if you require hotel pick up, make sure you contact the provider to reconfirm the pick up service and time which will commence 60-minutes before the boat departs.
During the tour we will have two snorkel stops; one at the turtles and one at a reef or shipwreck!

A great day on the water

To start off our wonderful day, our cab showed up promptly, and we were on our way. Greeted on board with coffee, tea, quiche and banana bread. Open bar all day with a good assortment from which to choose.
Our first snorkel stop was with the turtles in Carlisle Bay, which was great. Although September is mating season so they weren't as abundant as at other times of year, I was thrilled to see what we saw! Then we snorkeled a shipwreck with lots of fish. Fins were given out for the second stop but not the first.
The captain had a great playlist when we hit a small shower, and then when the sun came out again. He was also adept at steering with his feet, lol.
After snorkeling we sailed along the west coast where we were also served fish cakes and hummus with crackers before lunch.
We eventually moored by Heron Bay where lunch was served. Food was local, abundant and varied: bbq chicken, flying fish, lasagna, salads, rice and peas.
After lunch we had a float in the calm sea with drinks in hand. And when it was time to sail back to the Marina, dessert was provided.
All in all it was a great day and we left very satisfied.

This catamaran cruise was the highlight of our holiday in Barbados. We had the best day, snorkelling with green turtles and so many fish, drinking rum punch, chatting to the friendly and knowledgeable crew and eating delicious food on board.
Chad and his team made sure we stopped in some lovely places, steering us away from the looming grey clouds and kept everyone on board happy. Thankyou for a great day, I would book this again in an instant!

I can't say enough about the snagging experience we had in this tour. We are a group of 5 friends celebrating birthdays. The boat is beautiful, loads of thoughtful amenities, exciting excursions, delicious meals and drinks, and a first class crew. Lee and Romell were attentive and a pleasure to spend a day with. Highly recommend this phenomenal tour.

Absolutely top notch. We did the tour that included snorkeling with the turtles and shipwrecks and had a wonderful time. The boat is beautiful. The staff are over and above friendly, attentive, courteous and informative. This tour was the highlight of our trip. I wish we had more days to spend in Barbados and we would have booked the sunset cruise. Picked up from our apartment and dropped back off without a problem. You will not be disappointed booking any of the cruises with Calabaza. Enjoy.

Can't recommend Calabaza highly enough. Never before have i had a panic attack about getting on a boat before, I blame the old lady hormones !! but Chad and his crew were amazing, helped me on board even after I said I'd wait for hubby on the Dock after a mini break down, and how glad am I that they did, they were amazing and so patient with me. The trip was amazing, much more personal than some of the party boats we passed.
The drinks never stopped flowing, the food was amazing and all 3 crew were so knowledgeable, even down to assisting another catamaran that had issues weighing their anchor.
If you are looking for a fun but personal catamaran trip this should be your first choice.

We had absolutely the best day on board the Calabaza! The boat itself was fantastic, and the crew were so friendly, funny and enthusiastic throughout the entire trip. There was great food served on board along with whatever drinks you would like. We snorkelled with turtles, rays and along shipwrecks as well as sailing up the West coast of Barbados. Fantastic from start to finish. Cannot recommend enough!

Fabian, Shane, and Captain Ben were amazing. They checked on us for food, drinks, and anything else we needed. Very friendly crew and food / drinks on the boat were awesome. Catamaran was easy to get into and out of water as i am not a strong swimmer and they watched out for me. Loved the small group we had as it was not crowded and everyone was very friendly.
This was well worth the $$ and i would highly recommend checking this out if you are in Barbados.

Had a great sail with my husband, some great people from Canada and London, and the best crew one could request!!! This was our second time on the catamaran with Calabaza, and I would highly recommend it! The food is amazing, and the beverages--not so bad either, and, of course, the beautiful water of Barbados! Truly a wonderful experience!!!

I wish I could give a rating better than “excellent”. Fabian, Shane, and Danny were the absolute best and made our time on the Calabaza so memorable. If you are on the fence on whether to go with Calabaza or one of the other huge tour companies for a snorkeling adventure, I’m telling you Calabaza is absolutely the way to go! Not only did we always have a drink in our hand, but we also had amazing food and even learned a bit of Barbados history as well! Thank you for an amazing and very personalized day!

Had not used this company before but how pleased l did. Totally superb from being collected to being dropped off.
The boat was clean and superbly run by Richard the skipper Gina and Rommel who kept us supplied with Bloody Mary’s then Bacardi and cokes.The food from the beautiful little dishes of fresh fruit to the warm Banana bread and the excellent little quiches ,fish cakes and that was just the starters lunch was a feast indeed considering the limited amount of space on board but there was something for everyone.
We Set off well before the other boats so when we looked for the turtles we were pretty much on our own. We the sailed up the west coast and Rommel was excellent in showing us all the sights on the way up. Even though my husband and l have been so many times before in the 12 years we have been coming to the island and stay for a month this l have to say was the best trip .We can not recommend this company highly enough.

There are many sailing cruises you can do, and I luckily picked the best! From the moment we were welcomed on board we were well looked after. There was constant food and drink (rum punch obviously but also soft drinks) as well as the most friendly crew imaginable! The crew even went into the water to give us the snorkelling tour. We did see turtles and ship wrecks. There were only 10 people on our boat, and I think the maximum is 12. When I looked round at other boats with 20+ people crammed in I was so pleased I booked on this tour! The lovely Gina did the admin and arranged the transfers from the hotel! The floating bar made us laugh!
Just book it. You won’t be disappointed!

Pick up was on time. We took off exactly at 9. We were served breakfast items and a filling lunch with all the drinks you want. All 3 staff were friendly and professional. Even though my husband doesn’t snorkel, we had a great time and highly recommend this tour. Boat is smooth and was kept very clean. Snorkel gear was cleaned between stops.

WOW, What a wonderful day from start to finish, the crew, Chad, Peter and James, were so cool, their knowledge of the ocean and it's habitants was amazing! drinks flowing all day and the lunch was delicious, we got to see and swim with turtles and rays! over a marine wreck and reef. the fish there were plentiful.. then to top it off a noodle swim at the end. we cannot thank you enough for making us so welcome aboard! see you again when we are next in Barbados!!!

We had a fantastic time on this beautiful boat. We were treated like royalty. It felt like being on a private yacht. The snorkeling was not the best but this is still an amazing activity while in port in Barbados.

Brilliant time had on the Calabaza sunset cruise.
The crew led by captain Chad made this a truly fun time. Plenty of food and drink! Stops to go snorkelling looking for turtles and wrecks.

We had a blast!! The Captain was hilarious, and we are still repeating his jokes. The food was absolutely delicious. We could not have asked for better food or service!
The crew took great care when we were snorkelling and made sure we saw interesting fish, as well as sunken vessels and of course, the sea turtles. When we next return to Barbados, this trip will be top of my list to repeat! Thank you so much to Calabaza for providing us with such a wonderful day!

This was our second time using Calabaza for a snorkel tour. It was just as amazing as the first time. From the transportation from the cruise ship pier, to the actual catamaran trip and then back to the pier it was top notch. The staff on the catamaran catered to us through the trip. James was amazing with one of group who was not comfortable in the water and kept her within an arms reach. The snacks and lunch provided were excellent. The snorkeling spots provided plenty to take in, including seeing a turtle.

All Seasons Europa Resort, Holetown, St James is perfect for a self catering holiday. You have the beauty of the West Coast Beaches within 10mins walk plus a brilliant Supermarket and 2 Shopping Malls in easy walking distance. The Staff and Owners could not be more welcoming and helpful and this was our fourth visit. The revamped, upgraded accomodation has much improved the holiday experience and I for one, absolutely recommend it.
