What To Expect

El Tigre Catamaran Sailing Cruises
After hotel pickup, head to the marina in Bridgetown to board your catamaran, El Tigre, a 60-foot-long (18-meter) and 24-foot-wide (7-meter) schooner that’s big enough to carry 50 passengers but is limited to 36 per cruise to provide more space. The boat offers both shady and uncovered areas so you can choose to sit wherever you’ll be more comfortable.

Pull out of the marina and head along the west coast of Barbados, enjoying the sea breeze on your face and admiring the picturesque coastline. While you sail, just relax, sipping a cup of coffee or a glass of juice, rum punch or beer, and enjoy a slice of coconut bread.

• Admission Ticket Included

Barbados
Make your way to your first snorkeling spot, where you should be able to see sea turtles. Spend 45 minutes snorkeling, and then hop back on board the boat to sail to your second snorkeling location, a shipwreck that has become a habitat for many tropical fish. You have another 45 minutes to snorkel here.

If you choose the 3-hour option, you’ll then be dropped off at a west coast beach, where your cruise ends. Your transportation will be waiting for you at this beach to return to your hotel.

If you select the 5-hour option, continue along the west coast to a third location, where you’ll stop to enjoy lunch onboard the boat. Then hop in the water to cool off, swimming up to the nearby beach, if you wish, for a stroll along the sand. Back on board, enjoy a cocktail and listen to soca — a style of Caribbean calypso music — while the boat returns you to the marina in Bridgetown, where your cruise ends.

Unlimited drinks (soda, beer and rum punch) are provided on both cruise options.

Perfect day in Barbados
Justin_R, 21-09-2022
We had a lovely day on El Tigre. The staff was very friendly, boat was clean, drinks were endlessly poured and lunch was fantastic. Highlight of the trip was swimming near the sea turtles as the guides fed them near our party. We also enjoyed seeing the shipwrecks and all the different colorful fish. We loved the entire experience
Well worth booking!

Catamaran fun with Sea Turtles

Lovely tour. Process was easy from pick up onward. Had up close and personal time with the sea turtles, plus many tropical fish over the ship wrecks. The boat itself was clean and well maintained. There was no shortage of drinks. Unfortunately Mr got sick and we jumped off at the beach before lunch but it looks scrumptious. The staff were excellent and very kind, had a sea-do bring us to shore where we easily got a taxi and back to the ship. I do highly recommend the tour.
Fabulous friendly crew. Fun facts from driver first thing in am. Everything was very well oil machine. Weather raining

Shipwreck snorkeling
Dave H, 13-11-2022
Great crew, food and drink very good too. I would recommend.
Some changeable weather made visibility while snorkeling on 1 swim difficult but plenty of marine life seen on earlier swims, especially around the ship wrecks. A nice way to spend a day
El Tigra Barbados turtles and shipwreck snorkel

No rain or busy Carlile bay was an issue for todays trip.
Snorkel with tutles, watch stingrays joining in for food and swimming under us was great.
Shipwreck snorkeling experience absolutely amazing and crew took us back there as missed this stop on first occasion due to Carlile bay being very busy.
Thank you to staff on El Tigra for warm welcoming, great food, drinks and friendliness.
I owe you Christmas card
Incredible experiences

El Tigre lunch cruise.

A day that started with some serious amount of Bajan ‘liquid sunshine’, never put the team off on our trip.

Whilst it was a little cosy with around 30 people hiding below deck from the rain, it stopped as we got to our first Snorkel location. The team pushed on and made sure we were all ready.

20mins of snorkel = 3 turtle and 2 spotted eagle ray meant all thoughts of rain stopped and everyone focused on the experience.

A couple of shipwrecks, a great lunch and endless supply of quality alcohol all meant all we’re having an amazing time.

Many thanks to the Ell Tigre team for a great catamaran experience.
Great day out. Suitable for all ages.
Matthew_O, 01-12-2022
This is a really great day trip. The 5 hour trip is nicely spaced out with three opportunities to get into the water for a swim/snorkel. The crew were really attentive and knowledgeable and we were able to see turtles and spotted rays up close! The catamaran was very comfortable and there was loads of time to relax on deck and enjoy the lunch provided. 100% recommend for all ages.
Amazing must do adventure

What an amazing worthwhile trip, from the pickup which was dead on time, to the booking in which was well organised and then finally the crew who were attentive friendly and extremely efficient.. I have a phobia of the sea but I got in feeling very safe and saw the wrecks and the turtles, and plenty of them. The colours of the fish was spectacular.
There was plenty to drink and eat and the sailing at the end was the icing on the cake, we done the three hour cruise but would have happily stayed on for the five hours.
You won’t be disappointed!!!!
The best day of our vacation!
Aaron_D, 26-11-2022
What a wonderful day! The boat, the crew, the food, the drinks, the locations we visited, all wonderful. We are pretty picky, but this was a great value for the money all around. I would highly recommend this boat and trip.

Michela_B, 15-12-2022
fantastic day!! We did the five hour cruise with lunch and we couldn't recommend it enough! The crew was really fun, chatty and was great at showing us all the tropical fish and turtles when snorkelling. The lunch was delicious and the drinks were free flowing! Don't hesitate to book!
Great value and fun top notch experience.
Karen_M, 11-12-2022
The structure of the event was extremely well organized, coordinated and managed. Crew was superb. Very friendly, customer centered and you felt you were with family. Like the balance of female and male crew. Thought Maureen did an excellent job of setting and managing expectations and did it with humour. Had the best time and it was the highlight of my visit to Barbados. Also liked chatting with the crew. Boat was exceptionally clean.
A great way to spend a Bajan day
Teddy_M, 10-12-2022

The best daytrip excursion

Great experience, well planified and executed. Super safe and enjoyable. The staff and service provided wete A++.
Fantastic Crew!
SSBLISS, 22-09-2022
The crew does a fantastic job! From pick up to drop off back at our hotel everything went smoothly. The crew went out of their way to make sure you were having fun and waited on you constantly. Lunch was great and consisted of hot food and salad. While snorkeling the crew is in the water ensuring people are safe and they feed the fish so they come swim around you. We only saw 1 hawksbill turtle, but he was beautiful. Wish we had seen more. Took a nice sail up the west coast after. Highly recommend!

Sallied November 13 2022
we were blessed with beautiful weather and a delicious lunch but and snorkeling seeing the spotted eagle rays and the turtle and fish was cool but
Sadly I was disappointed with a few things
From the start of our trip the receptionist was confused and rude and I found that some of the crew dismissive
They did not give clear directions
Whilst snorkeling and two crew member where complaining to each other about another
They were also enough noodle floats for amount of persons ( 10 for 30+ Passengers)

and the “all aboard “ called after starting the engine while people still in the water and trying to ascend the ladder seamed dangerous not to mention the smell of Diesel- yuck!

After quite a few requests for calypso music they continued to Play what seamed like a pre set playlist that was not that good and finally the calypso played but not good
But the biggest compliant and most concerning …
When winding up or closing the sails two passengers (one male and the other female ) were sitting on the roof of there catamaran were hit by green rope Knocking her cup into her face spilling her sting in her face and knocked her sunglasses off her face
There was no warning or advice to move from crew prior to this and no apologies made after despite the female crew member that was dealing with the ropes saw what had happened .
After the cruise docked, I went and spoke to that same female crew member and mentioned the incident and expressed how concerned I was and. was told oh “I know … I too got caught by the rope…but I apologized to them and it is all good!!”
After Disembarking and speaking with my friends only to find out no apology was actually made. She lied!
As a Bajan i have been fortunate to sail on many Catamarans but El Tigre you disappointed on many levels
